Helen Nairn Artist statement
I am an emerging prize-winning artist and receiver of numerous awards at Nepean College in the Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts. I finished my Art Diploma in 2010 and am the winner of the Blue Mountains 2010 Crocket Art Prize.
For the past year I have been travelling extensively throughout NSW with the idea of moving to the country. My art is representational and symbolic of my love of the Australian bush and the freedom to move. By using mediums such as acrylic paint, collage and charcoal, I have tried to capture the essence and mood of these wonderful Australian landscapes.

I am a motivated, well organized person, with work experience at neighbourhood centres in the Blacktown area.I am Currently studying fine arts at Nepean Tafe and teaching decorative painting at Shalvey community centre. I am also a member of St-Marks Anglican Church and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. |
